Christos Yapijakis, DMD,BS,MS,PhD: Associate Professor of Genetics and Member of the Bioethics Committee of the School of Medicine at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).
He is a Researcher at the University Research Institute of Maternal and Child Health and Precision Medicine at NKUA and Member of the Advisory Committee of the Applied Philosophy Laboratory of the School of Philosophy at NKUA.
He is an internationally recognized researcher in Medical Genetics and is the first scientist who carried out ancient DNA research in Greece and identified the microbial agent responsible for the Plague of Athens in 430 BC.
