Coded Circuis  and 3D printing: two unique workshops  by Funky Dragon

Α΄ Workshop: Coded Circuis

Cryptography and electronics unite in a unique workshop! We will make small telegraph machines with simple electronics, we will learn about Morse code and we will become spies! Can you break the code?

  • Introduction to cryptography
  • What is Morse code and the telegraph
  • Introduction to electronics
  • Create a telegraph with simple electronics
  • Spy game

Β΄Workshop: 3D printing

Have you ever wondered what kind of language a 3D printer talks? How does it know what it is supposed to do? In this workshop, we break the code and we speak to the printer directly using GCode to experiment and create!

  • Introduction to 3D printing  and  3D printing/ CNC
  • What is GCode what’s it’s connection to CnC machines
  • Decoding GCode
  • Using the 3D printer using GCode

Vasilis Koukoutsidis: "Electronics, Sports and lots, lots of chocolate!

These are the materials that made Vasilis Koukoutsidis. But.... Professor Comixomium accidentally threw in one more!

The Chemical F! And thus, KUKU was born! He has self-published 4 zines (utrip, Pyx-Mix, the punk Fairy Tale Pills and Potions and the epic story of Woody and Wendy).

On the serious side of the moon (and life) he is a s.t.e.a.m researcher and tutor. "

"Once upon a time, in a galaxy far far away, a little engineer was born holding a mystical power. The power of imagination!

Armed with pencils and screwdrivers, she travels from architecture to coding to epic fantasy worlds and technology with one purpose. To destroy the walls that separate them and create a new generation of padawans that can create anything!

Her official papers say she's a PhD student in the School of Architecture of National Technical University of Athens."

But who is the Funky Dragon team?
“Dimitra and Vasilis are the Funky Dragon, an unconventional, creative STEAM training team. Art, imagination, play and science come together in an epic cocktail to promote the culture of the Creator. Their workshops are based on the power of storytelling through which children get to know imaginary worlds with imaginary heroes but real needs. As fellow travelers, children are called upon to make decisions that shape the story and overcome challenges by solving puzzles, applying engineering and electronics rules and creating their own tools with 3D printing. The aim is through each adventure for children to become more independent, more inventive and creative so that they can implement any idea they have with any materials they have available in the future.
