PARTICIPATION IN THE PUZZLE COMPETITION WITH THE “EKPAIDEYTIKI ANAGENISSI” SCHOOL
In April 2022, EN.I.G.MA was present in Afidnes, at the Puzzles Competition organized by the Ekpaideytiki Anagenissi school. Many schools participated, while some students had amazing performances.
Through the president of the club Pantazis Houlis, we had the great honor to present the keynote lecture, to use our puzzles in the final, and to deliver the prizes to the winners. Irreplaceable was the presence of the member of the Board of Directors of ENIGMA (and co-organizer of the Kastellorizo Puzzle Festival) Eleni Grammatikopoulou, as well as the resourceful and intelligent Ioannis Douros who always helps to test the functionality of the new puzzles we manufacture.
We warmly thank the Educational Renaissance – Antonopoulos School and Kostas Lattas for the excellent organization. We continue unabated towards the future. The hope is there, the creation is there, the inspiration is there, with Kastellorizo at the same time, exporting culture.
EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS AT THE MORAITIS SCHOOL
The Moraitis School is, in our humble opinion, the most innovative school in Athens. It was founded 85 years ago by the late Kastellorizi Antonis Moraitis and today it is run by his wonderful daughter, Chrysanthi Moraitis-Kartali. We have always wanted to present puzzles there. So it was our great honor that with three unforgettable presentations of Pantazis Houlis we had a great time with about 500 students and teachers (the entire Gymnasium), and of course, with several puzzles from Kastellorizo.
EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS AT ARSAKEIO
Our visit to Athens would not have been complete without the presentation of the lecture “Trojan Puzzle” at the Arsakeio School in Psychiko in an amazing hall and to an ardent audience. We should emphasize that we accepted the invitation after a professor of Arsakeio visited the Megisti Puzzle Museum a few months ago.
EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS IN NAFPAKTOS
Presentation of teaching puzzles of the Megisti Museum at the excellent Kotroni School in Nafpaktos. Greece is filled with culture from Kastellorizo!
All together we spent wonderful moments with creative children at the top school of Rodion Paideia. It should be noted that with this school we started the first puzzle presentations in Greece ιν 2014 (excluding Kastellorizo where we started in 2008), while the school is always present and supports us at the Kastellorizo Puzzle Festival. We warmly thank Kyriakos Kyriakoulis for the always extraordinary organization.
NEW RESULTS FOR THE OLDEST PUZZLE, THE OSTOMACHION:
According to the new results discovered by Pantazis Houlis for the Ostomachion (i.e. the oldest puzzle of all time by Archimedes), the new logical sections he proposed give almost ten times the number of combinatorial solutions compared to the old (and probably incorrect) incisions that had spread over the last hundred years. For more details, there will be a historical book that is being prepared and will be ready before the end of 2022. The Puzzle Museum already has three editions of the quality Ostomachion (made of four different types of wood) and all of them have been adapted to the new data of this research.

INTERVIEWS FOR THE PUZZLE MUSEUM
It is promising that sometimes television presents Kastellorizo as a peaceful landscape and a source of creation through the Puzzle Museum and the Puzzle Festival. We thank Korina Georgiou for the invitation, and Dimitris Kambourakis and Lena Flytzani for the three-minute interview from the SKY channel while we were on the castle of the island! (The interview is in the time period 44′-47′).
ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN TRAINING THROUGH WEBEX
We thank our amazing fellow mathematician Christos Zafeiropoulos who organized a wonderful meeting via webex, where school children in the Peloponnese showed the potential of the Geometric Program GeoGebra, some other children presented ways of constructing natural puzzles, and of course, a lecture from us on the oldest puzzle of all, Ostomachion, could not be missed.

PUZZLE LABORATORY AND NEW PUZZLES
Although it has not been advertised enough, during the school period we conduct a free puzzle workshop. It usually takes place every Sunday around 6pm at the Santrapeia School for about an hour. All children (from 0 to 200 years old) are welcome.
The Heart of Megisti, the Symbol of Megisti, the Castle of Kastellorizo, Papori, the Happy Kites, and many other fun puzzles are always with us At the same time, we present for the first time new puzzles and prototypes.
A new riddle is Karagiozis, who went through many stages. The original (topologically functional) prototype was made of cardboard, but now, there is the final beautiful model. While in 2022, the scariest and at the same time most attractive puzzle that has ever existed will be ready: Medusa.
