Megisti or Kastellorizo (castle at the roots of the mountain) is a heroic remote island of Greece, of nine sq.m. and three hundred inhabitants, with a huge history, many former conquerors, rich cultural heritage, impressive architecture, important ancient monuments, endemic flora and fauna, beautiful nature, and countless paths. It also has an impressive blue cave that attracts tourists from all over the world, and it is surrounded by smaller islets. Its friendly climate makes it an ideal tourist destination throughout the year.
